We therefore excluded from our sample BL Lac objects. Among the Quasars in our sample, only 3C 273, which has an extremely high radio loudness and a blazar-like spectrum, is likely to suffer from strong Doppler boosting of the radio jet. On the other hand, according to the unification scheme, Seyfert 2 nuclei should not be preferentially viewed pole on, while for all the other sources (mainly low-luminosity AGN and Seyfert 1), for which the nature of the (relatively faint) radio emission is not well established, we have assumed that the orientation of their jets with respect to line of sight is randomly distributed.
